| Retail Fitout - Glossier. |

The brief for this task was to develop a design a retail fitout for a company of my choice. Glossier, a beauty and skincare company. Using one image as inspiration, the aim was exploring texture, colour and shape through materiality and design choices. The final outcome represents the brand's identity. With careful consideration and attention to detail, this space encourages and attracts consumers to explore the space.

The inspiration image I chose was a clear glass full of ice-cream scoops in different shades of pastel pinks, purples, and yellows. The exploration of the consistency and glossy smooth finish were some of the key elements which I explored and added into the final outcome.

The images below are of my initial stages of the design process. These hand drawn sketches showcase a potential spatial layout plan, merchandise display concepts as well as initial application of colour and material.

The design of the final outcome draws influence from aspheric shapes and the choice of materials compliment the style and overall branding for Glossier. The symmetrical layout enables the consumer to explore freely within the space. The pastel pink tones used throughout this design gel well with Glossier's iconic colours. The soft edged finishes are a recurring theme within the design. The store maintains structure and organisation yet has a free-flowing nature.
